PRESIDENTS REPORTDONATIONS
As passed by the majority of members at our meeting on the 11th November 2021 the following cheques were presented to these organisations:
Questions were asked at our last meeting that some of the organisations listed above should not receive our donations as they receive Government funding.
After some research I received the following information about each organisation:
As mentioned at our last meeting, the executive will look at other worthwhile organisations each year and forward their name to the members for their consideration and their vote.
CHRISTMAS BREAK UP
We had around 50 members attend the RSL for our Christmas Break Up.
A very relaxed and entertaining night was enjoyed by all.
WARRNAMBOOL BIKE NIGHT SATURDAY 29TH JANUARY 2022
A get together of motorbike enthusiasts. These enthusiasts will meet on the Civic Green between 4:00pm and 7:00pm.
TOY RUN
I met with Trevor & Bonnie Warnecke recently who are the co-founders and organisers of the Annual Toy Run in Warrnambool.
The Toy Run was established by Trevor in the early 1980’s to collect toys from the community for the underprivileged children in our community, these toys were then passed onto the Salvation Army for distribution. Trevor sought assistance form the Road Runners Motorcycle Club, of which he was a member to assist in this worthwhile project.
Unfortunately the Road Runners disbanded in 1997, which left Trevor, his wife Bonnie and a couple of other ex-members of the Road Runners to organise the Toy Run.
I heard via the grapevine last year that Trevor, Bonnie and Spike Malone were the only ones involved in organising the Toy Run.
I met with Trevor and Bonnie to see if the WDMOC could assist them in their quest and keep the Toy Run going. Both Trevor and Bonnie welcomed the assistance of WDMOC.
At tonight’s meeting (13th January) it was put to the attending members would they be in favour of helping this worthwhile cause. The result was a unanimous decision to assist with the running and organising of this worthwhile project.
MEALS CITY MEMORIAL
I have been approached by Chef/Manager of the kitchen at the City Memorial Bowls Club Robert King, to please be patient with receiving your meals when we have dinner before our meeting. At the moment the bistro is experiencing a shortage of staff and last Thursday night 13th January, they were down to just 4 staff, half the staff numbers they usually have.
Robert suggests, order early to ensure that you receive your meal at a reasonable time and you don’t have to wait.
GUEST SPEAKER
Remember; we are here for a good time, not a long time.
Stay upright and enjoy your riding

RIDES - It was mentioned when leaving KFC on rides make sure you know who the Tail End Charlie is and at corners make sure you stop and visible to riders. This concern was raised after a ride when a few got lost. Our Aim is to have everyone turn up at the same destination.
