Moved Ken Rowe Sec: Neville Smith Carried BUSINESS ARISING CORRESPONDENCE IN & OUT PRESIDENTS REPORT BARRYS REPORT GUEST SPEAKER - Unfortunately Adam Kent the RSL Programs Manager was unable to attend our meeting due to work commitments. However, we were fortunate enough to have Peter halis, former Manager of Portland Aluminum and Kepel Prince Enginering, step in and deliver a most interesting overview of both companies. Thanks to Ken Rowe for organising Peter at the Last Minute. SOCIAL NIGHT As many of you know it is the clubs wish to run a social night every altenate month aftet our general meetings. On 13th April, Elaine organized a table at Rafferty’s Tavern for dinner. Initially Elaine received only a few names and was tempted to cancel the dinner. Closer to the date, numbers increased to approximately 10 so we decided to go ahead with the night. To our surprise 22 members sattended the night and everyone enjoyed the night. Apparently one member missed his ride home (No names Barry) Next Social Night Thursday 9th June at RSL RSVP BY 6TH JUNE SURF CITY RALLY After discussions with some of the members, it has been decided to run the rally on 29th & 30th October. This is the 40th Rally and has always been this weekend before Melbourne Cup , Members were asked who would like to be on the rally committee, serveral members indicate they would like to help. ANZAC DAY RIDE Our annual ANZAC day ride was attended by 20 members and some partners. Another great day for a ride to Cape Bridgewater & Nelson. Thanks once again Bruce Brown. CONGRATULATIONS As I am writing this report, I was notified that one of our long standing Member Carol Robinson, received a Life Membership by the committee of Premier Speedway. Congratulations Carol, a wonderful and deserving recognition of your tireless work at Premier Speedway.
