PRESIDENTS REPORT
Firstly an apology for missing the meeting, but I am on an annual friends (of 52 years) holiday in Clare SA for 5 nights.
I have been to the bank a few times with Elaine, who can give those details in her Treasurers Report. We have a couple of motions that need to be moved in relation to that.
Welcome to the new members.
SECRETARYS REPORT - Thank you to Trevor & Kevin for running the last meeting. I’m nearly recovered and hope to be on the bike again soon. Thank you to all that attended the Surf City Safari. We were lucky with the weather.

INVESTMENT ACCOUNT
Trevor explained to Committee Members that having an Investment Account for 12 months that if something happened and Club needed to get access to money quickly it would take a while to get access to this money.
It was suggested that we withdraw money from Investment Account and deposit it in a Capital Growth Account which interest would be 3.4% and we would have access after seven days.
MOTION: The Warrnambool & District Motorcycle Owners Club Investment Account be closed and open a Capital Growth Account with 7 days’ notice

After two weeks of waiting for account to be opened to transfer money to Capital Growth Account I received phone call to say we are unable to have a Capital Growth Account because we don’t have an ABN number. Peter O’Keeffe has done the research and there is no problem with us getting an ABN

I encourage all members to join the club Thursday and Sunday rides, motorbikes like to get out of the shed.
As I have comms in my helmet, I can take calls on club rides if there is trouble on a ride. Members please put my number in your contacts list

Surf City Safari Report: Report from Trevor
Thanks to everyone that participated in the 43rd Surf City Safari. There were 70 Entries. 66 Bikes Saturday and 44 bikes & 8 Cars Sunday. Only 6 didn’t brave the weather on Sunday.
66 People attended the RSL on Saturday night .
The Surf City Safari went very well, with what we can control, unfortunately not the weather on Sunday before 9:00 am and for the first 30 minutes of the ride to Woolsthorpe, after which it cleared.
Special thanks to:
Elaine, her contribution to the success of the safari is enormous.
The many sponsors who provided items for the raffles and vouchers etc.

Trevor McKenzie for the photos and doing the bike winners photos and framing.
Jamie Nicolson for his action photos.
Colin Moorfield for preparing the Saturday Ride, the visit to the Laang Speedway was a highlight for many, most people have gone past it numerous times but never been in.
I enjoyed planning the Sunday ride to Yambuk, which was easy as I retraced Bruce’s route from previous years.
Peter O’Keeffe for leading the riders on Saturday and Kevin Langley for leading the riders on Sunday.
Thanks also to the members who helped with Marshalling,
Colin Rogers for being Tail End Charlie on both days and anyone else who helped.
Shane Magrath for the back up vehicle and rescue trailer, and Skip for providing the trailer.
