Our club has an active ride schedule with rides every week end (usually Sunsays) and on Thursdays. The ride format is as outlined below.
- Rides start from the car park in Kepler Street adjacent to KFC unless notification is advertised of a different start point for a particular ride.
- First Sunday of every month. 9am start for what is known as a lunch ride. This ride will be organised by a member to a destination where lunch will be available. A morning tea stop will be made on the way. Details of the ride will be advertised beforehand. The details will include distance to be travelled, morning tea location, lunch location, fuel availability, and anything else relevant to the particular ride.
- Lunch rides are generally longer than other Sunday rides usually averaging 300 to 500kms. Assistance is freely available to members wishing to organise Lunch Rides from the ride co-ordinator, Bruce Brown Ph 0435366451, who will format and advertise the ride details to members.
- Red Plate Rides. The Red Plate rides are a 10am start and are on the Sunday following a General Meeting of the club. All other members on non red plate bikes are also welcome to attend these rides. These rides are tailored to suit whatever Red Plate bikes that attend and are designed to encourage the use of the Red Plate bikes.
- Remaining Sunday and Thursday rides in each month. Start time is 10am and the ride for the particular day will be decided on by those present for the ride. These rides are normally shorter in duration and travel to a location for morning tea. Following morning tea riders can travel on further, return home or whatever they wish either in groups or on their own.
