This document was prepared to demonstrate the strong commitment of the Warrnambool and District Motorcycle Owners Club inc. (WDMOC inc) to child safety and provides an outline of the policies and practices of each individual member to keep children and young people safe from any harm, including abuse.
Commitment to child safety
WDMOC inc is committed to child safety.
We want all children to be safe, happy and empowered.
We support and respect all children, as well as our members and their families.
We are committed to the safety, participation and empowerment of all children.
We have zero tolerance of child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns will be treated very seriously.
We have legal and moral obligations to contact authorities when we are worried about a child’s safety, which we follow rigorously.
WDMOC inc is committed to preventing child abuse and identifying risks early and removing and reducing these risks.
WDMOC inc is committed to educating our members on child abuse risks.
WDMOC inc members will, to the best of their ability, safeguard the children and young people they come into contact with and protect them from physical, sexual, and psychological abuse.
Children, defined in the Act as people under the age of 18, who come in contact with our Club through its activities have a right to feel and be safe from harm or abuse.
The welfare of children always will be our first priority and we have a zero tolerance to child abuse.
We will listen to and act on any concerns children or their parents raise with us.
The WDMOC Child Safe Policy adopted at Board Meeting held on 22nd June 2023
