Policy
Members should behave in an appropriate manner. This includes following the law, acting honourably, and treating other members and the general community with courtesy and respect.
 
We expect all of our Members and Prospective Members to read, understand and adhere to the Code of Conduct. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action, which could include, but is not limited to suspension and/or termination of Membership from the Club. Any and all disciplinary action including the severity of such action will be at the discretion of the Committee.
 
If you believe that a violation of the Code of Conduct has occurred, please submit written notification to the Committee. All notifications of potential violations are considered confidential, and no retaliation is to be taken upon anyone who reports, or participates in an investigation of a possible violation of the Code.
 
  • Take Action
Any time you feel our Member/s or Club aren’t being well-served, please don’t hesitate – let a Committee member know about it.
 
  • Support Each Other
We are committed to a supportive Club environment, where Members can reach their fullest potential. Members are expected to do their utmost to create a Club Culture that is free of harassment, intimidation, bias, and unlawful discrimination.
 
  • Safe Club Culture. Harassment, Discrimination, and Bullying
WDMOC inc. prohibits discrimination, harassment and bullying in any form – verbal, physical or visual. If you believe that you have been bullied or harassed by any member, we strongly encourage you to immediately report the incident to a Committee Member that you feel comfortable to approach. Similarly, any Committee Members who learn of any such incident should immediately report it to the rest of the Committee. The Committee will act promptly and thoroughly investigate any complaints and take appropriate action.
 
  • Drugs and Alcohol
WDMOC inc’s position on substance abuse is simple; it is incompatible with the health and safety of our members. Consumption of alcohol is not banned at our events (unless otherwise stated), but members are expected to use good judgement and drink responsibly as any behaviour that endangers the safety of others or violates the law could damage the Club’s reputation.
 
  • Avoid Conflicts of Interest
When you are in a situation in which competing loyalties could cause you to pursue a personal benefit for you, or your friends, or your family at the expense of WDMOC inc or its Membership, you may be faced with a conflict of interest. Every member is expected to avoid conflicts of interest and circumstances that would reasonably present the appearance of a conflict.
 
  • Confidential Information
Make sure that information that is considered “Need to Know” or “Confidential” within WDMOC inc remains so. There is information that is discussed within the Committee that is not to be disclosed to the general Membership and this is to be abided by. Similarly, information discussed in a confidential nature at any Club meeting is also to be treated as “Need to Know” or “Confidential” information, and should not be discussed with members of the general public.
  
  • Member Data
We collect and store personal information on all Members of WDMOC inc. This data will always be considered confidential and only used for the purposes of which it is collected.
